Looking Ahead

Although the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup is now in the rearview, there is plenty of exciting international cricket in the coming months ahead.

One tour on the calendar this month that is of great excitement to From Hyderabad to Hove is England’s tour of the West Indies beginning on April 13th and running through May 5th. Windies will feel they can go on and take the series at home given England’s current lack of form.

England certainly have a tough summer ahead as they play an ODI against Ireland on May 8th then welcome in World Cup runners-up New Zealand for five ODIs, two Tests, and a T20 match beginning on May 21st. As if facing the World Cup runners-up is not enough, Australia will be arriving to take on England in the 2015 Ashes starting on July 8th. The five Test matches run until August 24th.

But this is not just the summer of the ECB.  There are plenty of other exciting tours upcoming.  Pakistan travel to Bangladesh April 17th through May 10th for three ODIs, two Tests, and a T20 match. Australia tour the Windies in the lead up to the Ashes, playing two Tests in Dominica and Jamaica. South Africa have two exciting tours ahead, traveling to Bangladesh in July and welcoming the Kiwis to South Africa in August.  The New Zealand tour of South Africa will feature three ODIs and two T20 matches that hopefully will recapture some of the excitement of the World Cup semi-final between the two countries.
